A Learning Lab for Stressed-Out Midlife Women

Are there times when you are either too worried or too worn out to figure out how to deal with the stress and anxiety in your life?  Does your inner voice ever scream “Would someone please Just Tell Me What to Do®!”  If so, this day was designed for you!

We will give you the direction you need and, when you are done, you will walk away with an easy-to-learn, easy-to-remember formula that you can put to use right away in any anxiety provoking or stressful situation that comes your way. You’ll also have fun learning about your own ARC of anxiety and experimenting with different strategies that will help keep you at an optimal level of functioning.  All of this while enjoying a peaceful environment surrounded by people who care.

Laura Huser, PhD. is Co-Founder of Anxiety Resource Center & Licensed Psychologist

ARC’s co-founders are energized, creative, skilled, and passionate about educating and empowering people. In addition to founding ARC, Dr. Katy Fielder and Dr. Laura Huser are Affiliated Clinical Faculty with the University of Arizona College of Medicine, Phoenix Campus, where they provide mental health training and clinical services to students. They are also Affiliated Clinical Faculty with Arizona State University, Department of Counseling and Counseling Psychology, where they supervise Masters and Doctoral students in training. In 2001, after becoming licensed psychologists, the co-founders opened their practices and started designing professional experiences that would eventually lead them to establish ARC. They have:

Provided thousands of hours of compassionate, evidenced-based therapy to individuals and couples.
Facilitated trainings, lectures and workshops to local and national audiences.
Published their writing in peer-reviewed journals, textbooks, magazines, and newsletters.
Consulted with charitable, corporate, and educational organizations.
Completed advanced training in evidenced-based anxiety treatment protocols and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.
Through all this work, they came to realize that the world needs a new way to think about anxiety. It is their mission to provide a way to do just that.

Joshua Elder

Musician & Composer

Joshua has committed his career to using music as a vehicle for healing and personal growth. He directs a number of local musical groups and is also an active composer, arranger, and songwriter.

Nancy Jackson

Clinical Hypnotherapist

Nancy Jackson is a clinical Hypnotherapist certified with National Association of Transpersonal Hypnotists and the American Council of Hypnotic Examiners. She is a reiki master teacher, is certified in the energetic healing techniques of Polarity and CranioSacral Unwinding, and is an advanced practitioner of Theta Healing®. Believing that we co-create our reality with Spirit and universal life-force energy, her intention for this lifetime is to create a joyful existence through personal integrity, having fun, and feeling good; mind, body, and Spirit.
